To further reflect its unique standing in the Honda range, the model debuts a new EV identity. The white ‘H’ badge on the front becomes a new symbol of Honda electrification, along with a smart new typeface for the brand name at the rear.
The new Civic has a cool, sporty look and once you sit inside things don’t disappoint either. There’s greater comfort, visibility and spaciousness and an altogether more premium feel to its predecessor. The user-focused layout features high quality materials and an uncluttered instrument panel. Tactile touchpoints further enhance the experience for drivers and passengers, with spring force in the buttons carefully moderated to emulate the feel of operating high-end home appliances.
With the Honda car range already fully electrified, following the arrival of the latest hybrid Civic model last year, the event showcased both the breadth and ambition of the brand’s electric mobility offering as it enters the next phase of its European development.
Honda was one of the first companies to focus on the potential of hydrogen toward the realisation of a carbon-neutral society and has been conducting research and development of hydrogen technologies and FCEVs for more than 30 years. Since 2013, Honda has been working with GM on the joint development of the next-generation fuel cell system.
